The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) has launched the service of accrediting management systems certification bodies in the Occupational Health and Safety Management Program, in accordance with the international standard ISO 45001.
Where the management of Occupational Health and Safety enables establishments in its various activities to provide a healthy and safe work environment for all employees, by providing an integrated system for the prevention of work injuries and diseases affecting health.
The Saudi accreditation verifies the efficiency of the technical and administrative competencies of the certification bodies, and provides adequate procedures for quality control and assurance, and the center verifies before granting accreditation, that there are appropriate practices and documented procedures during the certification processes. Certification bodies can apply for the service through the center's website.
It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Accreditation Center accredits conformity assessment bodies based on its mission to provide innovative and reliable accreditation services in partnership with the authorities in the Quality Infrastructure nationally and internationally with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the national economy and enhancing foreign trade.
